Red Lobster’s Biscuits

There’s probably a reason that Red Lobster restaurants have been around since 1968. The seafood? Sure. Anything else? You bet. The basket of Cheddar Bay Biscuits they bring to the table with every order.In fact, the restaurant chain states they serve more than 395 million of these succulent morsels every year (that equates to about 1.1 million every day), and they are made from scratch in each restaurant every 15 minutes. Now, if you love these tidbits as much as the average American but don’t want to make over a million each day, we offer the following recipe for you to serve up at home:Ingredients
2 cups Bisquick baking mix (this brand is critical since it contains baking soda)2/3 cup whole milk cup good quality shredded cheddar cheese cup melted butter teaspoon parsley flakes teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Mix baking mix, milk, and cheese until it form a soft dough.
- Beat vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Drop dough by full spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 10 minutes or until golden brown (start checking after 8 minutes).
- Mix butter, parsley flakes, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
- Brush butter mixture over warm biscuits.
- Serve immediately when still warm.
